The trust artifact

# Every translation ships with its papers.

The SpiritualTranslations Assurance Report is a signed record of how your translation was checked — and your readers and rights partners can verify it. Here is the whole thing, part by part.

## Why a report, and not just our word

You're being asked to publish a book you may not be able to read. Every translation vendor says "trust us." None of them hands you something you can hold, share with your board, print in your colophon, and let strangers verify. That's the gap the Assurance Report fills.

You can't personally re-check a translation into a language you don't read — so you get the next best thing: the process, the people, and the record, stated plainly and signed.

The anatomy

## What's inside a report

Below is a sample report. The data is illustrative, the format is real. Every book ships in two forms: a one-page executive summary for your board, and this full report for the record.

SPT Quality Index · Publishable Grade

One score, calibrated to the same criteria on every report. A score in this band means the work is ready for your editorial review: expect routine polish, not rescue work. There's no such thing as a perfect translation. The score tells you how the work stood up to review.

Machine review — produces the bulk of the testing

- ✓Terminology & glossary adherence — every tradition term checked
- ✓Consistency across the full manuscript
- ✓Formatting & structure preserved
- ✓Completeness — omissions detected: none

AI review panel · five lenses: source-language scholar · native reader · domain expert · literary stylist · lay reader

Human approval — where it matters most

Lead reviewer · C.R., professional linguist. Credentials stated in full on every issued report.

Ruled on 37 passages the machine flagged for human judgment, and approved them with 12 refinements to nuance and tone.

Quality by dimension

Source accuracy 96/100

Fidelity to tradition 93/100

Terminology consistency 95/100

Readability 92/100

Machine and human working together, not a line-by-line human re-translation. Human judgment was applied at setup and wherever the system flagged for review.

SPT certifies a review performed to its published standard, not that the translation is flawless.

1

### One calibrated score

The SPT Quality Index: a single overall score, calibrated to the same criteria on every report, so a 94 means the same thing on every book. There's no perfect translation, so you'll never see us promise a 100. The score measures how the work stood up to review, and the methodology behind it is published, not proprietary.

2

### The process, visible

The exact checks that ran by machine, the five lenses the AI review panel applied, and how many passages it flagged for a human to judge.

3

### The people, credentialed

The reviewing expert in the tradition and the terminology lead both appear by initials and stated credentials on every report, so the accountability accrues to named people, not just logos.

4

### Scores by dimension

Source accuracy, fidelity to the tradition, terminology consistency, readability. Each is scored and explained in plain language a non-translator can read.

5

### The honest boundary

Every report states what the review is and isn't. No fine print. The limits are part of the product.

6

### Signed and verifiable

Signed by the reviewing expert in the tradition, the terminology lead, and SPT, with a verification ID and a QR code that resolve to this exact report on this site.

## The seal: SPT Assured

The report is the document. The seal is what you show. SPT Assured is the small mark a publisher can print on a cover, a catalog page, or a rights sheet, and it always points back to the full report through its verification ID.

A seal that can't be checked is decoration. Ours resolves in one lookup to the exact report for the exact book, and that's what makes it worth printing.

## What the report certifies

### It certifies

- That this specific translation went through our published review process
- That the stated checks ran, with the stated results
- That a named, credentialed expert ruled on every passage the system flagged
- That SPT and its Quality Assurer sign their names to that record

### It does not claim

- That the translation is flawless. No honest review can warrant that.
- That a human re-read every word. Ours is a targeted, machine-triggered review.
- That we endorse the book's ideas. We attest to the translation, not the theology.

We certify a review performed to a published standard. That's a smaller claim than "perfect," and a more useful one, because it's true.
