A voice from the future

Things that were not possible before are possible now.

Your back catalogue, in a language it has never spoken

Every publisher with some years behind them has books that will never see another print run, and languages they've never translated into, because it was never economical. That has changed.

The Charles Dickens experiment

Dickens published his novels a part at a time. Readers bought each part as it came out, and the sales told him and his publishers what the public wanted while the book was still being written.

We propose the same for your back catalogue:

  1. 1. Choose a market and a few books, for example the German-speaking market (about 100 million people) and five titles that were never translated into German.
  2. 2. We publish the first chapter of each, in the new language, on a reading site in your brand, to read or to listen to, on any screen.
  3. 3. Readers decide. We put the chapters in front of them, and they ask for more. We translate the next chapter only when they do.
  4. 4. You see the results: regular reports on which books the new market wants, and how much.

Each chapter is translated by our workflow: the AI follows a brief for the tradition's vocabulary and the author's voice, and a human expert reads what matters and corrects it.

Low risk, for you and for your partner publisher. You learn which books a new market wants before you commit to a full translation, a print run or a rights deal.
